Rita, the House host and owner, has travelled/lived and worked around the world, for more than 15 years while teaching yoga in very renowned places and she is one of the Yoga Teachers at Free Spirit House. She also surfs, kite surf, snow boards and loves to hike, to commute in bicycles, skate boards and enjoys toys like drones, darts, yoyos...so all those are available for you at the house. Free Spirit House has a swimming pool and a beautiful garden, a bar and a chilled area where people have meals. You can use the house fully equipped kitchen to store and cook your meals or just order the previous day from our Healthy food suppliers (please ask for the menus at reception). We provide you with healthy breakfast if you choose a package. Free Spirit House has capacity for 26 people. On the ground floor there is 1 premium shared Room for 6 people and 1 private Room for 2 people in bunk bed and shared toilette. On the first floor there is 1 private Room for 2 people with private toilette and balcony and single beds, 1 premium shared Room for 8 people female and 1 premium shared Room for 8 people male. Each bed has a blackout curtain for increased privacy, a plug for your mobile phone, a box to place it and a light to read. Each guest has a closed place to store their belongings and we YESSSS we have surf boards and kite storage room. We propose you to have one session of yoga and surf per day and you can buy those in packages to be more affordable but can also buy day by day and request private lessons....you decide... you do what you want. But we do need to know ahead of your arrival for our organisation. Services included in the room rate: · -Free WIFI · Possibility to cook in the kitchen and barbecue area with storage in fridge and kitchen cupboards Services not included in the room rate: · Yoga lessons with meditation (yoga mats \u0026 equipment included in the classes) · -Surf lessons · -Kite surf on demand and according to weather conditions extra pay · -Bicycles · -Sintra tours You will have a code to enter so no worries with the time you arrive but be mindful not to make noise when you enter. You will fly into Lisbon International AIRPORT. You can then take a Taxi, Uber or Train to Cascais and Uber from Cascais train station till our House (cheapest solution). Check-in: after 3 PM. There is possibility of storage before. Last check in is at 9 PM and after that there is €20 of late check-out fee. Check-out: 11 AM. There is possibility of storage after. The house has a premium location! It is REALLY in Cascais! But besides being very close to the city centre we still offer you the possibility of a shuttle that takes you to the centre once a day and transport to the beach if you do a surf or kite surf lesson. If you want to be independent the main references are the following: · Distance to the train station: located at 2,6 km: 8 min by car/ 30 min walking/ 16 min by bus/ 16 min bicycle. · Distance to Guincho beach - located at 4,7 km: 9 min by car, 30 min bicycle. · There are 2 buses at 5 min from the house, number 409 and 417 that take 10 min to the centre. · If you want to rent a car there is plenty of parking space outside and you should rent at the airport with Europcar that has the lowest rates on average €10/day. Activities We offer you Surf and Yoga every day of the year. Normally Yoga is at 8 and Surf at 10 but it depends on the location we go and the tides and swell. For some retreats we also offer Yoga in the evening. However, we are flexible and if you prefer to do Yoga at different times and the other guests and the instructor agrees this can be changed. Don't be surprised to do Yoga at the beach or in the hills of Sintra ...we often like to move out! Surf Portugal is a great place for surfing, along with France, England and Spain, is one of the top European countries for surfing. There are plenty of surf spots in the wider Lisbon area, and it's where a lot of locals like to surf. Especially on the weekends! Several well-known spots include Carcavelos, Guincho (popular spot for kite surfing and windsurfing also), Bolina and Monte Estoril. These spots are extremely enjoyable when there's a powerful swell from the southwest and wind blowing from the northeast. Free Spirit House is located 5min from Guincho beach and 15 min from Carcavelos and these are the main spots we will take you every day. A surfer van will come to pick you at the house and drop you back at the house again. The lesson takes approximately 2hours but with the trip you can count with around 3-4h. The price of €35 includes the wetsuit, the surf board and the lesson but it excludes the transport which is €5. We teach all levels of surf: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Yoga Known for its beautiful beaches and great weather, Portugal is the perfect destination for a yoga retreat. Surrounded by the Serra de Sintra, right next to Guincho beach near Lisbon. Free Spirit offers a number of different Yoga retreats throughout the year. There is a yoga and surf retreat 365 days a year. Our yoga is Hatha Vinyasa. Hatha Yoga, is the most popular. It's known as the yoga of force. It emphasizes strengthening and purifying the body. It involves physical postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama). Others We can also arrange for you to kite surf if the wind has good conditions. We normally will organize for you to go to Obidos lagoon where all levels can ride. We also organise Sintra Tours, that are starting in Sintra and taking you also to Cabo da Roca and to Peninha, a magic ride! Sintra tours Visit the atmospheric city of Sintra on a full-day, small-group tour from Cacsais, then spend the day exploring Quinta da Regaleira, and Sintra's historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a mix of guided and independent time, discover romantic grottoes and colorful architecture, then get spectacular views to the Atlantic coast from the Serra de Sintra. This Sintra tour includes pickup at Free Spirit House but entrance fees at the Quinta da Regaleira are not included, and it's limited to eight people for a more personal experience. Explore Sintra's historic center, Quinta da Regaleira Admire the coastal views at Cabo da Roca. The tour lasts approximately half a day but you are also invited to have a lunch if you chose the morning tour and if you want to try the taste of real local food with your guide (this is excluded from the price).. Come with us ! you won't forget this magic trip! Kite surf We offer you lessons in Obidos Lagoon. The Obidos Lagoon is the perfect spot to learn how to kitesurf in Portugal, due to its consistent wind and flat shallow waters. Learning in calm waters reduces the learning time, as it's a lot easier. You don't have to fight against heavy waves or strong currents. Learning kitesurfing in Portugal with professionals is the best and safest way to get into the sport. So... Don't wait. Feel the wind and experience the thrill on the water. RATES YOGA €15 per lesson and 10% reduction if you buy 7 lessons prior arrival. Yoga lessons take place at the House or in Guincho Beach. SURF €35 per lesson which includes, wet suit and board plus €5 for transport to and from the beach. Surf lessons take place at the Guincho Beach but if the swell is not good we go to a different beach. KITE SURF · Private lesson: 2h-€110, 6h-€300. 9h-€430 ,12h-€550 Group lessons: 3h-€110, 6h/€200, 9h-€280, 12h-€360 Lessons are in Obidos Lagoon. Prices are per person.
